Who runs Louisville Senior Advisor?
Louisville Senior Advisor is an independent senior care referral and advisory service for families in Louisville and the six surrounding KIPDA counties of Kentucky; we are not a government agency, not affiliated with KIPDA, OIG or any facility, and we do not own or operate care communities.
What we do is help families understand Kentucky's licensing, payment programs and local options, and introduce them to communities that fit. Everything on the site is built to be checked: each fact cites a Kentucky statute, regulation, agency page or federal source.
How is Louisville Senior Advisor paid?
Senior living communities pay us a referral fee when a family we introduced moves in; families never pay us anything.
That creates an incentive we want you to see clearly: we earn more when a family chooses a community that pays referral fees, and not every good option does. Ask us about any licensed option, including ones that do not work with referral services; we will tell you what the public record shows. If an advisor pushes one building without a reason that makes sense to you, push back.
Why build the directory only from state and CMS data?
Because families make six-figure decisions on these pages, we list only what Kentucky's Office of Inspector General and CMS publish: license type, number, capacity and status from OIG, and star ratings, inspections and staffing from CMS for certified nursing homes.
We do not publish reviews, invented ratings, aggregator data or facility marketing claims, and we do not rank communities. Where a public figure does not exist, such as a Louisville cost median or any memory care median, we say so.
How do I reach Louisville Senior Advisor?
Email advisors@louisvillesenioradvisor.com or use the care-match questions on any page, and an advisor will follow up; corrections from facility operators are welcome at the same address.
If someone is in danger, call 911. Suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation of an adult goes to Kentucky's hotline at 1-877-597-2331.
What area does Louisville Senior Advisor cover?
We cover the seven Kentucky counties of the KIPDA region: Jefferson County (Louisville and its suburban cities), Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby, Spencer, Henry and Trimble, which share one Area Agency on Aging, one ombudsman program and one OIG enforcement branch.
We do not list Southern Indiana facilities, because Indiana licenses senior care under different laws and our directory is built from Kentucky's own roster. Families looking on both sides of the Ohio River can read our guide to the differences.
